Paul G. Sheltry, 94, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on March 8, 2017 after a short illness.

Paul was born and raised in Groveton, New Hampshire. He was the son of the late William and Annie (nee McGinley) Sheltry. He served in the North Africa and Italian campaigns during the Second World War, and after his time in the service he resided in Quincy, Massachusetts with his mother, while working for the J.C. Corrigan Company and the United States Postal Service in Boston. In 1968 he and his mother moved to Boca Raton where Paul continued working for the Postal Service, serving for a time as union president, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton.

Paul's sense of dignity and openness, combined with his good-natured yet wry sense of humor, made friends of those who had the good fortune to know him. He is survived by his sister, Barbara (Sheltry) Roche of Springfield, Virginia; nieces Marianne (Roche) Hobbs and Julie (Sheltry) Hanley; nephews Francis, William, Peter, Michael, James, and Thomas Roche; and nephews William, Andrew, and Frederic Sheltry. Paul was predeceased by his brother Francis Sheltry in 2010.

Visitation will take place at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17, followed by entombment at Boca Raton Mausoleum.

Arrangements under the direction of Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, Boca Raton, FL.
